Neighborhood-based SVdP Effort
Led by Volunteers who represent their Conference at the District level
The District Council of Sonoma County includes all 14 SVdP Conferences in Sonoma County and Our Lady Queen of Peace in Lake County.
Linked by the common mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, there are 15 Conferences operating throughout the North Bay Area. These are volunteer groups of 5 to 50 people putting their faith into action by responding to the needs of people in their local community, regardless of ethnic or religious background.
The Conference is the paramount unit of SVdP life. It is at this grass-roots level that the great majority of Vincentians find themselves engaged in person-to-person service to those in need.
