If you need Individual Assistance
If you are seeking a link to resources in Sonoma County
Volunteers are always welcome and needed at SVdP-Sonoma.
Teresa was a young woman on welfare with six children and no cooking stove when she contacted St. Vincent de Paul Sonoma County.
A social worker, who knew that SVdP-Sonoma provided individualized assistance to people in need, suggested she make the call.
The next day, two Vincentians came to visit her and asked how they could help.
They came without judgement or scorn bringing more than just a stove – they brought hope and, for Teresa, a renewed sense of her own value.
Going forward, Teresa was not only able to cook for her family, she put herself through college and law school - becoming the first woman attorney to argue a case before the California Supreme Court.
